John Bruton
John Bruton is a Cleveland-based stand-up comedian and producer who finds humor in the everyday chaos of marriage, fatherhood, getting older, and trying to make sense of a world that makes less sense by the day.
An old friend with no filter
Known for his sharp observations, laid-back delivery, and relatable storytelling, John has built a reputation for turning life’s most frustrating moments into some of its funniest. His conversational style makes audiences feel less like they’re watching a performance and more like they’re catching up with an old friend who has absolutely no filter.
Sharing stages across the country
Throughout his comedy career, John has toured and shared stages with nationally recognized comedians, including Ali Siddiq, Jeff Dye, and Marcus D. Wiley, developing his voice while performing for audiences across the country.
“Make great comedy and give people something worth laughing about.”
Making room for Cleveland comedy
Beyond the microphone, John has played an active role in building Cleveland’s comedy scene. He’s the producer behind shows and comedy experiences including 50 First Jokes Cleveland, Make Em Laugh Mondays, and Jokes On You, creating opportunities for both established performers and emerging talent. He’s also helped produce multiple comedy albums in collaboration with LiveMixtapes.com, bringing stand-up comedy to audiences beyond the stage.
The End Is Near
His stand-up special, The End Is Near, showcases his perspective on life, relationships, and the absurdities of adulthood, delivered with the wit and honesty that have become his signature.
Whether he’s onstage making people laugh or behind the scenes creating opportunities for other comedians, John’s mission remains the same: make great comedy and give people something worth laughing about.
